SO IT'S A COSTUME . . .

I can guess quite accurately that with any photograph or video of a sasquatch shared at least one person will state : "It's a costume." [I am not including the famous blobsquatch or shadowsquatch photos, obviously].

So, all right then. It's a costume. Prove it.

Yep. Not liking that, are you. Proof always on the proving it is a sasquatch. Well, maybe the proof should also be on us. If we're going to call someone out for having a friend wear a suit, then we should be able to identify the suit they are wearing.

I spent a couple of days looking over the internet. And here are the top contenders for the costume parade. These are available to order over the internet [providing supplies don't run out, as the various sites caution us] with shipping offered most times at two or three days; some caution it might not arrive before Christmas. Prices ranged from $49.99 to $469.99.

1) This one is labeled "Movie Quality" from Horror Dome. $469.99. The claim is that this costume was used in a hoax that fooled the major news networks into reporting that a dead sasquatch had been found.

It has arm and height extenders that make the wearer over 7 ft. tall. A full body costume it is said to fit people ranging in height from 5'9" to 7' and will make you 1 foot taller. The entire costume consists of the fur suit, a mask, hands and feet, and a muscle suit.
Suit 2

2) The second suit is listed through Amazon and is billed as an "Adult Bigfoot Costume - ST".  This is a 100% polyester faux fur jumpsuit with ties at the back of the neck to hold it closed. It features a vinyl chest piece and has padding to go around the upper legs for a more muscular look. There is a full-head vinyl mask with attached hair and beard. They warn that the mask has small eye openings which gives the wearer limited vision.

3) This is a "Men's Bigfoot Costume" from California Costume, also available via Amazon and from Target. The price ranges from $63.67 to $149.99. One size fits most. Brown in color. This is also a jumpsuit with ties at the back of the neck. The gloves have vinyl fingers and fur palms and cuffs. There are fur shoe covers that you insert your shoes into with elastic to hold them into place. The faux fur is 84% polyester and 10% acrylic. 6'3" high; 4.33" wide; 44"-46".

This one also comes in a plus size for $93.79. Additional information listed with this entry states the suit is dry clean only and is a faux fur bodysuit with a character mask with hair; hands with faux fur; big feet with faux fur; color dark brown.

4) A Seasons Bigfoot Costume running $57.56. This is listed as being "multi-colored". It includes mask, jumpsuit; hands, feet. The hands, mask and feet are "PVC". The jumpsuit is fake fur (55% polyester; 45% acrylic). One size fits most.

5) This is an adult size costume, also available in plus size through Amazon. It is $79.99 and $94.99 for the plus size.

The regular sized suit is listed as "medium", and the plus size a 2X. Both suits are listed as with 100% polyester faux fur and faux suede jumpsuit with a back zipper. It is a long-pile faux fur suit with faux suede chest pads.

6) Another California "Sasquatch Adult" suit running from $75.55 to $146.97 on Amazon. It's listed as "standard" size; one size. Brown in color, made of polyester (45% polyester; 55% acrylic).

7) "Bigfoot Costume" listed on Amazon for $93.91 with a chest size of 33-45. This is listed as a "hilarious" Bigfoot costume with a furry jumpsuit, mask, gloves and shoe covers. The mask covers the entire head. The one piece jumpsuit has three ties in the back. The color may vary depending on the manufacturing variations and or your computer color settings.

Then we can also add some gorilla suits listed on the internet.

8) "Gorilla Suit" listed as running from $105.97 to $130.97. It includes a mask, a jumpsuit and hands. It is up to 42". The jumpsuit is covered with black faux fur with an inset chest. The mask fits over the head with a gorilla face.

9) "Gorilla" that runs from $104.97 to $129.97. This fur bodysuit comes with attached chest piece; a molded mask with fur; hands covered with fur; foot covers with fur. Listed as 48-52 size.

And because there are those white bigfoot being filmed, let's add the yeti suits.

10) "Yeti" suit from California Costumes for $78.22. It comes in one size in white. 100% polyester with faux fur (84% polyester; 16% acrylic). They recommend hand wash. It is listed at 6.5" high.

11) "Yeti" suit also from California Costumes, called "Snow Beast". This one is $82.98. Listed as coming in standard size and being polyester.

12) "Yeti" costume from Morris Costumes. This one is listed as being a woman's costume and it runs $376.58. It comes in one size.

Suit 12

This is what's out there for the "average joe" to buy if he wants to have some fun or plan a hoax. Some of the suits come and go, depending on sales. I was unable to find any advertised "Hollywood movie suits" for sale. I would imagine that those being made for the industry range quite a bit higher in price, are not as readily available, and would be quite easy to trace who ordered suits made.

In my opinion, of course.

A YEAR LONG JOURNEY

It's always interesting what a difference a year can make.

A year ago I believed in a single species : Bigfoot.

A year ago I supported the Gigantopithecus theory as the most likely explanation for said bigfoot.

I had reservations on many things others talked about as happening in their lives : mind speak, orbs connected with bigfoot, gifting, interacting with sasquatch, sasquatch having a language, family groups, camouflaging. . .

And now? Where do my theories and beliefs fall?

First off, many of the questions that surround the whole enigma of sasquatch became answered during the talks with my partner, Leo. As he talked of how there were two different beings : sasquatch and bigfoot, things became a little clearer.

https://sasquatchobsevations.blogspot.com/2018/11/sasquatch-vs-bigfoot-pt-2.html

Now I could find places for all the different  types of reports and encounters that I have been researching. It became understandable how one person could have an encounter with a sasquatch and walk away full of wonder and how another person could be attacked with vocals, or thrown objects, or even charged at and chased. The confusion over which was right, which was untrue, was over. Both types of encounters could and do happen.

As for what they are? They are beings, just as humans are. They are not in any way to be classified as wild animals. They are not Gigantopithecus, or relict humanoids of any kind. They have been here longer than white man, longer than the Native peoples. They live in family units, sometimes in an extended form. As their children mature, they will seek out a mate, if they wish. Finding their partner, they will either join that one's family, or return to their own family area to live. Children are precious and treated as such, carefully raised in the ways of their life. They are very spiritual, believing in a Creator. I believe that many of the structures, sculptures, arches and such are formed to celebrate the world they live in. A way to worship, offerings of thanksgiving to the Creator, enhancing the beauty of nature.

While I still have problems with those who have their tea parties, birthday parties, celebrations or whatever with their "clans" of sasquatch, I do realize that people can have some interaction with them.

I have been privileged to sit on the front line of Leo's field research this past year. I have been able to watch the progression of contact with this family; how they have accepted him into part of their family structure.

Language and mindspeak. I have heard their language. It seems to be similar to Native languages. I don't speak any Native tongue, so I can't really state it for certain. As for mindspeak, I have experienced it. Enough said.

Many talk of how sasquatch is capable of turning invisible. While not exactly being invisible, they are capable of blending into their environment and appear to have disappeared. It is a type of camouflage. I have seen evidence of this. It is both amazing and more than a little spooky.

Gifting. That was covered in a previous post.

Orbs connected with sasquatch? Well, there appears that there just might be some sort of connection -- an energy connection. How it works, and why, and when . . .  well, that's a theory to be investigated.

Be assured that my mind is still open to possibilities and the changing of ideas, theories, beliefs that I have. Every day is a learning experience. And I in no way am telling you that your beliefs, your theories, your experiences are wrong or not correct. We all follow the paths that our quest for knowledge takes us. And there are many paths. Just keep an open mind to the possibilities out there.
